Music Therapy

Music therapy has proven to be invaluable in the treatment of conditions such as autism and Alzheimer's disease, as well as being an extremely effective tool for pain management.  Dr. Oliver Sacks (the author of the books "Awakenings" and "The Man Who Mistook His Wife For a Hat") reports that patients with neurological disorders who cannot talk or move are often able to sing, and sometimes even dance, to music.
