Catalina Island Jazz Trax founder Art Good describes Cecil Ramirez as “a rare smooth jazz artist from Sacramento, CA.” Classically trained and a graduate of the Conservatory of Music at University of the Pacific, Cecil is a pianist, keyboard player, music director, and composer who has worked and performed with legendary jazz and contemporary jazz artists Brian Culbertson, Paul Brown, Nelson Rangell, Paul Jackson Jr, Jessy J, Adam Hawley, Tom Braxton, and many others. He has been a headline artist at Blue Note Napa, Napa Valley Jazz Getaway, and the Catalina Island Jazz Trax Festival.

Cecil’s debut CD, “Talk To The Hand”, ranked as the #8 album among the 2009 Favorite albums on Cafe’ Jazz Radio, Canada’s Smooth Jazz Connection. Two songs finished in the top 20 on the Top 50 charts. Cecil’s second album “Party In The Back” reached the Top 20 on the Billboard Smooth Jazz Charts. The album yielded several #1 hits in the UK; two of the songs stayed in the Top 10 Moth FM Smooth Jazz Charts concurrently for several weeks. Both albums continue to appear on global internet radio streams.
