NAMM Was a Success...

PianoDisc hit it big with its introduction of the new PianoLink system. PianoLink, developed in conjunction with Finland's Xenex Ltd., allows the simultaneous transmission of audio, video and MIDI computer signals. As a demonstration, PianoDisc linked two sites: the NAMM booth at the Los Angeles Convention Center and its factory in Sacramento. Pianist Steve Merritt was on hand during the whole show to speak with show attendees and play requests as a demonstration.

Another exciting discovery was the possibility of using PianoLink as a teaching forum for when student and instructor can't be in the same place. PianoDisc Artist Series star Wladimir Jan Kochanski gave a quick lesson to Steve Merritt on playing the works of Chopin, while visiting at the NAMM show.
