Discover the Art of Piano Craftsmanship
Lifting the Veil Piano Factory Tour
Join us on Thursday, October 22, at 10 a.m. for a behind-the-scenes tour of the historic Mason & Hamlin factory in Haverhill. We’ll walk through the six-story factory—one of the last two piano factories in the United States—and see artisans building pianos by hand using techniques passed down for generations. The tour concludes in the showroom, where you’ll have the opportunity to play the finished instruments yourself.
The tour is free for “Lifting the Veil” conference attendees (normally $20) and begins at 35 Duncan Street, Haverhill, MA. Closed-toed shoes are required, and participants must be able to use stairs throughout the tour. A waiver must be signed on-site before the tour begins.
